The BIG Announcement ! video was posted on the Itsy Farm Channel, notifying Itsy Farm subscribers of the new video content available to them. Subscribers to other channels will be notified at a later date.
Cheryl and Karl have been contemplating this new channel for some time. The most popular videos on their Some Southern Stuff channel have been the cooking videos. Coupled with the fact that YouTube food channels have experienced dramatic growth in the last two years, Cheryl and Karl decided to take the plunge and give the new content a try.
According to a Boston Globe report, consistency in uploading new videos, engagement with audience viewers, and influence and social media reach beyond the video are the major influences on a channel's success and growth. Karl says "Upload consistency will be an important and challenging aspect for Cooking For Two's satisfying our subscribers and viewers. We will start conservatively with one upload per week. If our subscriber base and channel comments reflect the demand for more frequent uploads, we'll just have to provide them."
Several videos have already been uploaded and are simply waiting to be published. This will help to provide a buffer in case the demands of the weekly schedule prove difficult. In the future, Cooking For Two will have a Facebook page and an online store to provide subscribers and viewers with information and sources for some of the items used or mentioned in the video content.
